Heardle Hub

Heardle Hub

Privacy policy

Short version: Heardle Hub doesn’t collect personal information, doesn’t set tracking cookies, and stores your streak data in your own browser. The full version explains exactly what that means.

What we collect

Nothing personal.

We don’t ask you to create an account. We don’t collect your name, email, IP address, location, or any device identifier beyond what your browser sends to standard CDN endpoints when you load images and audio.

What stays in your browser

Your guess history, current streak, max streak, and per-game stats are stored in your browser’s localStorage. The data never leaves your device. The keys we use look like:

  • hh:gs:<genre> — saved-game state for a puzzle in progress.
  • hh:stats:<genre> — lifetime stats and streak data per game.

You can inspect or clear these any time via your browser’s DevTools (Application → Local Storage), or by clicking “Clear site data” in your browser settings.

Cookies

Heardle Hub does not set any cookies of its own. We don’t use analytics platforms that drop cookies (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no marketing pixels of any kind at this time).

Third-party requests

When you play a puzzle, your browser fetches resources from these external services. They have their own privacy policies and may log basic request metadata (such as IP and User-Agent), as is standard for any web request.

  • Apple iTunes preview CDN — serves the 30-second audio clip used during gameplay.
  • SoundCloud Widget — embedded as an iframe for full-track playback after the game ends.
  • Wikimedia Commons — artist photos.
  • Unsplash — genre and country cover photos.
  • Apple Music CDN (mzstatic.com) — album artwork.

Children

The site is suitable for general audiences. Because we don’t collect personal information from anyone, we don’t collect it from children either.

Changes

If we ever start collecting analytics or adding accounts, this policy will be updated and re-dated here before that change goes live. The current version’s effective date is May 10, 2026.
